The town of Clonakilty is located on the south coast of Ireland. The land around the Clonakilty distillery is already in the hands of the eighth generation of the Scully family. The climate on the south coast, with fresh air from the Atlantic, offers excellent conditions for growing the grains. The Clonakilty GALLEY HEAD is a single malt which matures in the warehouse at the Atlantic. The single malt receives a finish in former red wine casks from Bordeaux. The barrels are scraped out before and toasted again. Tasting notes:Colour: Amber. Nose: Sweet, fruity, cocoa aromas. Taste: Sweet, fruity, red fruits, cocoa. Finish: Long lasting, spicy. Drink the whiskey neat, on ice or in a cocktail.
