The Barceló Organic Rum is the first Dominican organic rum. It matures in oak barrels according to the strictest rules of organic farming. 5 years ago, they began to prepare sugar cane plantations in such a way that no residues of artificial fertilizers remain in the soil. These plantations are located in an area 3 km from the distillery. The sugar cane plantations are located near a river and can therefore use the most natural source of irrigation. Only organic yeast is used for the production. For the maturation they use new American oak barrels. The gift boxes are made from natural sugar cane fiber and organic ink. Tasting notes:Colour: Amber. Nose: Fruity, notes of cocoa. Taste: Caramelized cherries, cocoa, notes of tobacco. Finish: Long lasting.
