Angostura 1919 is not only one of the best from the house of Angostura, but also belongs to the upper top class in the wide world of rums. It is a velvety, fully aromatic rum that commemorates a special event: In 1932, a fire destroyed the headquarters of the Caribbean Rum Association. Not much remained of the building, only a few charred barrels. The master distiller of Angostura Fernandez acquired these - unaware that they were still full and filled with the best rum of 1919. The rum was then carefully blended and named 1919 Aged Rum.
